Visualization to Promote Collaboration
by; Andrew Galaska, UI/UX Lead
I'm really quite terrible at Fortnite. I booted up with a wingman last year ready to kick some tail, but the experience was the same disappointment every time. Drop in. Gather resources for ten minutes. See enemy. Panic. Die. Back to menu. Rinse. Repeat. Haven't touched it since. I know there are others just like me reading this now, but I want you to know that it's okay. There's a new multiplayer experience in the works that you can actually dominate. Over the weekend, I experimented with the new Unity Network Transport alpha code. It's a lot to wrap my head around, but the results so far have been very positive. There is enormous potential to work these new capabilities into the current Lucd product. Imagine connecting with a coworker across the globe, browsing the same visualizations and shaping a well defined dataset together. Maybe you're a data scientist, but financial data makes your head spin. Have no fear! We're working on the ability to virtually bring in a subject matter expert to help you find the needle in the haystack. Or perhaps you're training up some junior employees within the company and want to offer a guided experience of your workflows. With Lucd, you'll have that power. As we continue to design and evolve these features, your feedback on what would make collaboration inside your organization better will be extremely valuable. Please drop us a line if there's something you want to see make it into this feature set!
